Biography

Bella Tonkonogy is U.S. Director at Climate Policy Initiative, an analysis and advisory international non-profit organization working at the nexus of finance and policy for climate change. She oversees research and strategic initiatives across CPI’s climate finance workstreams including investment trends analysis, financial sector alignment and effectiveness, and innovative finance. Bella previously oversaw energy and environment investments at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and was a climate economist at the U.S. EPA and OECD. She holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management, an MSc from Imperial College London, and a B.A. from the University of California-Berkeley.
