Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen

Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen (born 1967) studied medicine and science journalism in Berlin, London and Heidelberg. His specialty: communicating medical content in a humorous way. He gives lasting impulses that stick: on television, as a non-fiction author, at congresses or as a keynote speaker. For him, "planetary health" means giving top priority to the protection of our livelihoods and a future fit for our grandchildren. To this end, he founded the Healthy Earth - Healthy People Foundation in 2020 and published the book "Mensch Erde-Wir könnte es so schön haben". For ARD, he presents "Was kann der Mensch?", "Wissen vor Acht-Erde" and documentaries. Eckart von Hirschhausen is an honorary member of the faculty of the Charité, a member of the Sustainability Council of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the Club of Rome and an honorary professor in Marburg. He lives in Berlin, is married, a Protestant and never gives up hope for positive change.
