Viktor Haase

Viktor Haase has been State Secretary at the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Transport of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia since 30 June 2022.

Between 2014 and 2022, Viktor Haase was Head of Department VIII, ‘Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Environmental Economics’, where he dealt with environmental and climate issues.

From 2004, he worked for three years as an adviser at the Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. From 2010, he headed the Minister’s Office.

As a qualified biologist, he worked from 1997 to 2004 and from 2007 to 2010 as a research assistant in ‘Ecology’ for the Bündnis 90/Die Grünen parliamentary group in the North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament.
