Climate change is no longer a distant threat in the future. Over the past decade, 83 per cent of all disasters were caused by climate-related events. Impacts resulting from slow-onset and rapid events are already affecting millions of people around the world. Providing financial support on adaptation, loss and damage and humanitarian aid will help to avoid humanitarian disasters and climate-induced forced mobility.
