Event Information

Illegal exploitation and trade in natural resources and waste are ‘low risk, high reward’ crimes (US$260 billion a year). Effectively interrupting these illicit financial flows will help prevent further environmental crimes and contribute greatly to protecting biodiversity and fighting climate change. Experts will follow-up on this priority topic under the German FATF-Presidency 2020/22 and the recommendations contained in the FATF’s report on “Money Laundering from Environmental Crimes”.
