Biography

Chérie-Fa is an environmental activist and founder of Coalition des Femmes Leaders pour l’Environnement et le Développement Durable (CFLEDD) where she works, among others, on protecting and promoting indigenous and local women’s land rights and their participation in climate change response in the DRC. Chérie-Fa is also one of the co-founders of Association des Femmes Autochtones Engagées pour la Protection de l’Environnement et la Lutte contre la Pauvreté Féminine "AFPE" where she leads on gender and advocacy for women's involvement and participation in decision-making bodies related to the protection of ecosystems.
