Biography

Jessica Strefler is a senior scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK). She leads the Carbon Management Team in the energy systems group of Research Department 3 (Transformation Pathways). Her current research is focused on the influence of different carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technologies on global climate change mitigation strategies, and on carbon capture use and storage (CCUS). She leads the project DIPOL, is the scientific coordinator of the project NAVIGATE, and works on carbon dioxide removal (CDR) in the projects ARIADNE, RETAKE, and CDRSynTra.
