Biography

Mclarence Mandaza is the Technical Director of Environment Sustainability and Climate Action of World Vision for the Southern African Region. He has a PhD and possesses more than13 years professional experience in the agriculture and humanitarian sector. Mclarence has a specific interest in climate governance, adaptation, agri-food systems and agroecology. He also serves at the Zimbabwe UNFCCC delegation as a negotiator for agriculture agenda and has successfully delivered to the Sharma-el Sheik Climate action on agriculture and food security position. Mclarence is also an Africa Climate Fellow awarded by the International Federation of Red Cross. He authored several journal articles on climate adaptation including youth participation in climate governance. He has also previously worked with the government of Zimbabwe as a senior Agriculture Extension Specialist and with several NGOs in Zimbabwe in the field of agriculture, food security and climate change.
